Adam O'Neil received his master's degree in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver in 2011. He has been mentored by leaders in the field of sport and performance psychology, as well as counseling psychologists, school psychologists, neuropsychologists, and other medical professionals in the field of traumatic brain injury. Adam is the Clinical Coordinator at SCI, and is responsible for administering baseline concussion testing, conducting supervised clinical neuropsychological assessments, and executing the integration of a performance enhancement program aimed at improving the mental game for both healthy and injured athletes.
Adam has worked with Olympians and professional athletes on concussion prevention and management techniques. He also has experience working with youth athletes, elite athletes with disabilities, and professional athletes with mental training techniques to improve sport performance. He is particularly interested in the pursuit of personal excellence, the utilization of mental skills training to assist in the rehabilitation of sport related concussion, and the development of innovative approaches to traumatic brain injury rehabilitation.
