Dr. Kowell is a board-certified neurologist and clinical
neurophysiologist.
He earned his medical degree and doctorate of philosophy from the
University of Pennsylvania in 1974.
Dr. Kowell completed his medical internship in 1975 and neurology
residency in 1978, both at UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Kowell is currently
a Clinical Professor of Neurology at UCLA and a partner in Encino
Neurological Medical Group, Encino, California.
His specialty areas of interest and practice include: brain injury,
clinical neurophysiology, and neurobehavioral problems including
violent and aggressive behavior.
