Concussion Care - a new concussion management treatment and services
solution for athletes nationwide. Play It Safe Concussion Care provides
concussion medical expense benefits for athletes who sustain a covered
head injury.

May 2009:
SCI will host the Third Annual National Summit on Concussion and Other
Sports Medicine Injuries in Los Angeles, CA on May 15, 2009. This
year’s theme reflects cross-cutting and timely presentations
and discussions regarding prevention, treatment, management, and the
state of the science – emphasizing practical applications for
ATC’s and team doc’s from middle school through
professional sports -- by the nation’s foremost experts in
concussion and orthopedic injuries.

May 2009:
In keeping with our ever evolving approach to expand the disciplines
related to concussion prevention, treatment, and management, we are
pleased to announce that Dr. Ken Mautner has joined SCI as a consulting
physiatrist. Dr. Mautner is Assistant Professor in the Department of
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Department of Orthopedic

A world-renown neurosurgeon with excellence in both treatment and
research has joined SCI as a consulting neurosurgeon. Dr. Bailes is
Professor and Chairman of the Department of Neurological Surgery at

program to enhance concussion awareness and access to

April 2009:
In the service of neurocognitive prevention and management, SCI is
pleased to announce a new partnership with DHA Advantage. DHA Advantage
provides a scientifically supported natural source of Omega-3 fatty
acid for brain, eye, and heart health. DHA is derived from a vegetarian
source (algae) and has been identified as an important brain nutrient
that promotes cognitive development and function among both healthy and

November 2008:

SCI and AIG partner to develop a tertiary insurance coverage plan,
targeted specifically to concussion management treatment and services

August 2008:
