March, 2008: The Sports Concussion Institute is pleased to announce that SCI will be the concussion management team for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Major League and Minor League teams for the 2008 MLB Season. Baseline concussion testing begins in March.

February, 2008: The Sports Concussion Institute is proud to be the concussion management team for the Los Angeles Avengers arena football team for the 2008 AFL Season. Baseline concussion testing begins February.

December, 2007: In an unprecedented statement of commitment to athlete safety and well-being, the California Interscholastic Federation has requested that 100,000 high school athletes in the state of California be provided with concussion management services provided by the Sports Concussion Institute.

November, 2007: We are pleased to annouce the latest addition to our clinical staff Dr. Kevin Uchida, who is an experienced, licensed acupuncturist specializing in orthopedics, pain management, and stress-related disorders.

December 7, 2005: ESPN’s newly acquired reality TV series “The Contender” utilized the Sports Concussion Institute’s world class medical staff to pre screen, 30+ Contender Boxers in preparation for their upcoming televised fights.
